Andrew Lowery

Co-founder and President

Andrew is a former Army Colonel, with multiple combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, a 32 year Veteran, and a member of the Army Engineer Regimental Corp. Andrew earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, an MBA from American Military University and a M.S in Strategic Leadership from the resident U.S. Army War College. After retiring from the Military, Andrew realized how valuable his skills learned in the military could be to others, and saw a unique opportunity to continue serving clients and build a world class team just like in his military career. From here, Valhalla Business Brokers was born. To this day, he enjoys helping people with his hard-earned skills, and providing elite services to America’s best business leaders and families, while providing meaningful careers to veterans. Andrew and his wife Polly live in Melissa, Texas with their two kids, Luke and Logan.

Tim Nelson

Co-founder and Vice President

As a member of the U.S. Army, Tim has over 33 years of experience developing solutions and partnerships. He is also a licensed real estate professional and served on the Frisco City Council for nine years, being instrumental in big projects including the relocation of both the Dallas Cowboys HQ and practice facility and the PGA of America HQ and PGA championships. Tim has a history of putting the people together by developing long term, value based relationships, and his ability to make the right match has served his clients well. Within the community, Tim has held leadership and committee positions with the Boy Scouts of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Frisco Independent School District, and many others. Tim lives in Frisco with his wife and five kids where he continues to serve his country and his community.

Terry Wilson

Terry Wilson, MBA

Senior Partner

Terry began his business career 24 years ago, after retiring from the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. His military service included a tour with the 2nd Ranger Battalion. That is where he learned that the mission comes first, and failure is not an option. While in the Army, Terry spent ten years going to night school to earn his B.A. in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College. After his military service, he went back to school to earn a Masters degree in Business Management from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Terry has owned two small businesses and has held leadership positions with KPMG, J.P. Morgan Chase, First Data (now Fiserv), and Bank of America Merchant Services. Terry is a strong leader with extensive business experience in line of business management, operations, sales, customer service, marketing, financial reporting, compensation plans, and mergers and acquisitions. Terry has worked with hundreds of small and mid-size businesses to help them develop growth strategies and sales plans that optimize performance and increase the overall value of the business. Terry plays golf, enjoys reading and writing, and loves spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Chris Walters VP of Business Operations

Chris C Walters

VP of Business Operations

Chris has extensive experience in building, acquiring, and selling technology firms, digital marketing agencies, and franchise businesses. He leverages 25 years of experience in fractional COO and CMO roles to excel at streamlining operations and optimizing marketing budgets. Utilizing an integrated strategy that aligns People, Objectives, Strategies, and Technology, Chris eliminates operational roadblocks, thereby enhancing profitability.

Additionally, Chris is a licensed commercial and residential real estate agent in the state of Texas. He has devoted his professional career to ethically increasing the value of both his own businesses and those of his clients.

On a personal note, Chris is married to Marcy and is the father of three; his priorities are God, family, work, and fishing. He is an influencer and an avid sportsman, specializing in both saltwater and freshwater angling.

Andrew Thompson

General Counsel
Director of Acquisitions

Andrew Thompson (“Drew”) brings over 30 years’ experience In Mergers and Acquisitions, as a business attorney and CPA, working on acquisitions, equity raises, business exits, succession planning, family wealth management, tax planning and general business advisory services for owners in transition and potential investors and SME buyers. Drew has developed a system for working with potential buyers of companies, that involves counseling, identifying targets, creating conversations with potential sellers, advancing the process to Letters of Intent, drafting or negotiating Asset Purchase Agreements, overseeing valuation work and due diligence, finalizing transactions and closing the deal. He seeks deals on companies with sales of up to $25,000,000 in all industries and across the United States and abroad.

Drew grew up in Indiana, but before settling in Frisco, his career took him to Chicago, Atlanta, Raleigh, NC and Traverse City, MI. He is a graduate in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, passed the Uniform CPA exam, and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1990. He has three beautiful daughters, age 28, 24 and 19, loves saltwater fishing, enjoys sailing, bicycling and live music anywhere and almost anytime. As a lifetime Chicago Cubs' fan, one of his greatest memories was going to game 7 of the World Series in 2016 and seeing them win.

Shelia Darby, MBA, CVA, MAFF

Valuation Expert

Ms. Darby provides certified business valuations of closely-held businesses. Her 20+ years of valuation experience spans numerous industries, ranging from energy/mining, construction/real estate, retail/wholesale and manufacturing to finance/insurance, services, professional and health. Ms. Darby formerly served as the Assistant Treasurer of Transocean and held various valuation, finance, and strategy roles at ConocoPhillips, AGL Resources, and Enron Corporation. While at ConocoPhillips, she led the strategy and finance department of the company’s largest business unit in Norway. She also enjoyed teaching the valuation and economic modeling course to over 250 employees located throughout North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. During her tenure, Ms. Darby was responsible for reviewing the valuation and finance approvals for over 100 acquisitions and dispositions.

Ms. Darby holds an M.B.A. from Rice University, a B.B.A. in Finance from Baylor University, and professional certifications from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), including the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) designations. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
